                      Mifegest kit is the drug used for the termination of maternity. It works effectively to wipe out the fetus from the womb. Uses of Mifegest Kit

How to Take Mifegest Kit

Abortion drugs usually contain the combination of misoprostol and mifepristone drugs. In Mifegest kit, you will find four misoprostol pills and one mifepristone pill. Take misoprostol vaginally and take mifepristone orally. You need to take a tablet of mifepristone first. Forty eight hours later, take 4 misoprostol. Bleeding and cramping may start within 20 minutes of taking your second medication, misoprostol tablet. The chances are you will miscarry within the next 6-8 hours. You may also experience cramping in waves with decreasing or increasing intensity. The bleeding you experience after taking Mifegest kit is usually heavier than a menstrual period.

Precautions Before Taking Mifegest Kit

You should also go for some other examinations when you decide to go for medical termination of pregnancy. The test includes measurement of hemoglobin level, ultrasound scanning of pelvis and abdomen, and determination of your blood group. Screening is necessary to check for other conditions such as HIV, hepatitis B virus, and haemoglobinopathies.

Precautions After Taking Mifegest Kit

The combination of misoprostol and mifepristone is usually the most effective within two weeks. You need to see your doctor for a follow-up exam after two weeks to ensure that the process has been completed successfully. You may have to opt for an aspiration abortion if you don’t miscarry completely after using the kit. In rare cases, you may need a suction procedure.

Side Effects of Mifegest Kit

Like other similar drugs, you may experience certain side effects when using Mifegest kit. The most common symptoms are cramping, vaginal bleeding, diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, back pain, dizziness and tiredness. You may sometimes have to deal with severe side effects which are usually rare but possible. The list includes low blood pressure, allergic reactions, infection, loss of consciousness, ruptured ectopic pregnancy, tachycardia, shortness of breath, and collection of blood in the uterus.
